The Difference a Donation Makes
In June of 2008, an organization called to tell me they had a container (the size of an 18-wheeler) with close to 700,000 portions of dehydrated food that they wanted to donate to Guatemala.
They asked that Buckner take care of the logistics and distribution. My concern was that Buckner doesn’t have distribution capacities. We rely on alliances.
Later that year, we received two more containers and were able to bless an even greater number of people. The donation was very needed because the country was suffering a dry season that was affecting the people’s food supply.
In October of 2009, four public schools in East Guatemala attended a shoe distribution and learned about the food project. They asked if Buckner could supply them with food for 500 schools and so I told them that we would do our best.
Thankfully, the same day that they asked about the food, Matt Asato, from the Buckner Center for Humanitarian Aid, called to let me know that they had received an extra container of food. I immediately agreed to give the food to the schools.
God answered my prayer so quickly! And the blessing from God arrived in the hands of the children in His time.

Prayer Requests:
-God, thank you that you hold all of the world’s resources in your hand and that you have the capacity of meeting us in every need.
-God, help us be obedient to you and cheerful givers.
