Love Is…
If you will, hold your hand up. Take a good look at it. What do you see?
Still looking? Still thinking?
What do I see? I see a story, a story of love…
Love is playing hand games with a child in Russia when there are no words to say.
Love is putting shoes on a child’s feet in China.
Love is giving a hug to a new young mother who doesn’t know how she is going to make it.
Love is listening to a child read the Bible aloud to you in their language for hours.
Love is providing humanitarian aid to families in their time of need.
Love is providing a safe place to children who feel abandoned and without hope.
Love is providing a place for elders to engage with others and live to their fullest.
Love is…you fill in the blanks.
Christ broke the walls of language; Christ acted. His love—dying on the cross for all—shows the ultimate love in action.
Let’s look at Christ’s hands? What do they show? They tell a story, of course; a story of servanthood, a story of leadership, a story of sacrifice, a story of love. These hands healed the sick, raised the dead, served the poor and were pierced for our transgressions. His hands show the scars of ultimate love in action.
So I ask again: Look at your hands. What story are your hands telling the world?
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

Prayers of the Week:
-God, thank you for giving us an example of extravagant, sacrificial love in the redemption of this world by our Lord, Jesus Christ.
-God, give us the strength and joy in loving others when we don’t feel like it and when we do.

I was just wondering what it would take to get involved on some of the missions overseas. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks
